i dont recall tribes ever having an auto-download map feature nor have i seen any code for it

people getting dropped for not having clientside maps has been happening forever

i think you're thinking of serverside maps

with no vsync and almost no load in the menus it's pretty common for me to get 2200-3000 fps in the menus

game was probably cranking out that many fps internally it was just the driver fucking up the draws

if i had to guess i'd say it probably only has the windows WDM drivers for the videocard or really old broken drivers

(or its really really horrible integrated videocard)

ugh from the trailer it was like 'this shitty town sucks and the lonely kid finds a road that goes into an old town submerged under water...' and i figured 'oh cool they'll find something crazy in the underwater town or there's some evil ghost or treasure or they'll somehow save the town or <insert ...

nope i was wrong netset should be fine it hooks way later

and i fixed my new plugins so they do the same

i still think the registry fix is better than the .exe fix tho
