I think that this will be useful for the community, since a lot of us are scattered and in different forums... I think that we should make an official list of community websites that everybody can reference from. We can continue adding to this list and hopefully one of the admins here will sticky this topic so that it stays.

Anyhow back to the question, i doubt it would be possible to any successful extent. There are only a few active communities and those communities are well established and set in stone, trying to have one central site while it's a good idea probably won't happen. Mainly because none of the communities are really active, some sites only see a few posts a week if that. Then if people did all convene at one site you'll have the good members and the bad members from each place, so take the drama here multiply it by x amount then you'll also have even more people to view the shit. That kinda stuff turns people off from communities. Places like anni.info don't tolerate it but if they belong to this one site fits all idea they have no choice but to see it and thats no good for them or for the site. Then there is the question of who admins the site, if everyone is to belong to one site the "leaders/admins" of those communities that combined would probably expect some sort of privileges and power... and that becomes constant power struggles like everything else in tribes.

we really need to make a group effort toward bringing new players into the game. if the communities can't be merged then we need to increase the amount of people here lol we still have a good fighting chance now, but we wont for long.

Ideally this would be the purpose of the official Tribes forum, but even when Hi-Rez had their forums up no one really used the T1-TV forums unfortunately (their forums were crap anyways). And using Reddit as the central forum would be horrible since they aren't setup properly to support that. FPS-Z.com was recently launched as a gathering place for all the FPS-Z games, not just Tribes. It has around 40 members but no one posts (not much to post about). I wouldn't add it to the list unless it picks up.

Tribes forums/websites have been setup before to act as a 'gathering' place for Tribes, but instead just cause even more fracturing. Launching another one very likely wouldn't work. You're better off picking an existing forum, preferably the largest and most active, and trying to convince others to join it instead of making an all new website. It'd likely mean having to make a few changes (more sub forums or something), but it'd be worth it if it worked.

TribalWar used to hold this throne but hasn't been relevant in years and never will probably. Honestly I'd steer clear of bring over any of those guys other than a few I think are ok.

The interesting, and possibly fortunate thing about the above forums (sans TW) is that they're all using phpBB. So it might be possible to combine them all onto one phpBB forum. More info.

What about the banned players? are we forever in exile or something? Can we just let the past be done? I'm finding the unreal community more fun and chill out. Plus people don't get bothered when you own them, cause everyone is used to dying in the most ridiculous ways. Hell I might even make a baseLT mod for unreal 99

I've thought about this before too. The communities are basically set in stone where they are currently and it would be difficult to get them all together. I would say the content of each forum is what makes them worth visiting. One might as well repost all useful content onto this forum to make it more attractive and worthwhile for the players to come here.

It should be easy for someone to come here and find exactly what they are looking for whether that be tribes files to download or just a place to post and have discussions with other active players. If you find something interesting or useful on another tribes forum you should repost it here or at least link to it to let more people know. The OP is a good start.
