Actually Car Audio was one of my hobbies long ago when I ran stereo competition with Thunder On Wheels sponsored by Rockford Fosgate. Help build the 2nd loudest car in the World in a 1985 2 Dr. Honda Accord Hatchback. We shelved in 6 airplane batteries, and 15 Rockford Fosgate sub's. Basically turned the whole back end of the hatch area into a large bandpass, housing all the sub's. Running off a 24K gold plated Rockford Fosgate Power 1000. It was also one of the first vehicles to have a mobile video system. Basically a 4 1/2" color TV and VCR player. The alarm was a modified Clifford that we setup which could call your cell phone or pager to let you know if your vehicle was being tampered with. The door's housed 5 - 5 1/4" mid's and 4 tweeters each, running off their own separate amps. We kept getting beat by a Toyota 4 Runner sponsored by Precision Power, but he ran more power to his sub's. Kept beating us by only a couple of DB's in the drag race competition.
