Yeah, I hear ya on trying to save a few $$$ on the registrations. I'm trying to figure a way to add an internal motor from an external trolling motor to my kayak so it's not seen, but my concern there is them seeing me moving in the water faster than one can paddle.

WOW, didn't know about that drive system till now. The only problem, it costs between $800-$900 and I didn't even pay that for my kayak. It's a Heritage Angler 12 that I picked up new for about $450:

Correct. They are not cheap. I found out about them years ago, when I was cleaning a boat bottom and one scooted over me... I looked up at the flippers flapping back and forth and was startled. I came up for air and startled the kayaker, then asked them about it.

I see these trimaran kayaks sailing around here frequently. They're pretty cool. They have the option to sail, peddle, or paddle, for propulsion.

And for another $2k+, you can get a sick Torqeedo evolve motor that fits in the Hobie mirage drive slot.

lol it was me, and that seal held ty very much!! on the other side i had a nice duck tape seal on the the door. most of my seals held on the doors, but the water came in through the walls and foundation. there was no beating it without a complete barrier around the house.

Damn, that first one is a pretty good deal! The drive system with the kayak! But that $2K one with the outriggers, WOW, nice setup, and that sail, interesting.

Yeah, it's a pretty ingenious rig. I've seen people try to sail them without the pontoons before, but the slightest gust of wind knocks them over.

Of course, my definition of a slight gust of wind is probably different from yours, considering you kayak on lakes while I sail across oceans.
