Oh good they are finally starting to release this. This was something that was being worked on with that Tom Cruise movie he did (don't remember the name of it), but looks like they are going forward now. Can't wait to see what it really does, how it's used, and what type of security work are they going to use on it to protect something that is wireless.

The primary purpose of this device appears to be augmented reality... But I don't care about that... I want a VR headset that totally immerses me in my video games.

There are 2 technologies I wish would be merged into one headset.

Imagine this... A VR headset that pans and tilts your field of view using an accelerometer, moves the crosshairs/cursor using retina tracking, and binds other commands to your thoughts, using sensors that detect brainwaves.

Basically, you could set your awesome gaming rig behind your recliner, put your headset on, and be totally immersed, without even needing to move your arms. It would be the perfect I/O peripheral for quadriplegics and couch potatoes!
