so yeah I got bored. Maybe I'll convince these faggots to play something else other than SH HK & DX

I used the ships from fleet command, and put them on a different terrain.

Capped up the entrances and now its an LT map Image

It was fun testing it and capping.

If you have 1.40 you wont need to download anything to play it on the server

for 1.11/1.30 you'll need these two volumes. Place them in your base folder.

I don't see anywhere in the post where it says you need dox maps to host these. Which last time I checked there are no DOX maps on the server.

Are you trying to get this on community? Looks nice except the back to front routes look hard because the base is so high and I don't see any hills back there. Crossfire was actually a really solid map in TA for routes even before everyone starting doing rock bounce routes. If only the physics didn't feel entirely different from tribes and the weapons weren't so cod.

I wonder if there's a way to get the exact dimensions of tribes ascend terrains and force a tribes terrain to map to them. That would be pretty nifty. Or take the bases and get them into tribes as well.

yeah.

I thin it would be enticing if we made maps with custom terrain and shapes. Label the map rotation "Custom maps (clientside)" people will learn to download the new maps.

it might even get some of the community involved and getting them to participate in ideas for maps.

I don't think BR should host client side maps until we can eliminate client side maps by releasing configs with auto-downloaders.
Once we can confirm that 100% of players are up-to-date, then we can host awesome shit... Until then, I think we should stick to server side maps.

And it hurts me to say that, because I really like DOX's map pack.

I'd like to see a map similar to this, but with the flag in the center of the base and have it open in 4 different directions. Like the pic shows with the flag on one end and open in the front and back, but have the flag in the center of the openings, and have two more openings on opposite sides, which means you have to defend a 4 way instead of just 2.
