spawn maps

I was wondering what is the name for the script file that the spawn maps load

example: DM.cs

I want to make a few maps for the spawn rotation. Its actually a big hit. but man those mines are op lol

oh this note, can desert of death be placed in the spawn map rotation, instead of the CTF rotation?

Right now we just paste code into the bottom of the .mis and change the type in the .dsc. Make the maps and I'll add them.

I can move desert of death to the misc dynamix maps.

All of the spawn maps are indoor for a reason.

What is the reason?

Most spawn maps I've played are outdoors.

All of the current spawn maps are indoor. It was never meant to be annihilation LT mostly because LT is much better in base and when we did play LT maps we would lose all the players every time or someone would get the flag and border bounce all map. That's why I made the spawn rotation basically arena and oh hey..there's a flag.

If someone were to make some really solid outdoor spawn maps I think they should be in their own category.

Sounds like a challenge.

Should we disable oob bouncing on these maps?

disabling ob bouncing should have been done to begin with. The flag would still auto return if out of bounds.


There was a pretty good indoor map forgot the name.

It used the ilookout.dis shape the same column shape you see on canyon crusade, except flipped upside down and has a flag on it. Then there is the vehicle bunker shape the one that looks cut in half instead of double sided. Thats where the stations are. The map boxes the middle section on broadside terrain.

I think I know what you're talking about...

It's got the broadsides terrain as the floor of the arena, and the hill in the middle touches the roof of the arena (which is made from iblocks), so you have to go around the hill on either side.

That map has a lot of potential, but I would prefer to see it made with an upside down terrain as the ceiling instead of a bunch of iblocks. Also, I don't like the locations of the bases, as they are too difficult to get in and out of.

Perhaps I'll remake that map, with both a spawn and armor friendly variant.
