You might have a tribes.exe, editor.exe, and possibly another tribes.exe with a version number in the filename.
Try each one and see if the server recognizes it.

I've tried several combinations of exe and mem.dll files in that gallery, it doesn't work. In the server it still says "unknown client"

I found these comments in the server's last hope script file. Don't ask me who shyboy is.
//shyboy: so 1.11 doesnt respond to lasthope obviously
//shyboy: 1.30 responds with a non-null version.cs result
//shyboy: 1.40 responds with a null twice
//shyboy: 1.41 responds with null twice, but a different value for null
//shyboy: there is a 1.30 bypass that darko has so i dont really try to validate 1.30 clients
//shyboy: there is a line for bugs_bypass because bugs posted a simple script bypass on the forum

//shyboy: but honestly, 1.41 clients look different from 1.30
//shyboy: so thats really just to differentiate between 1.30 and 1.40
PS: There is a server setting that would kick unknown clients if true... So, you're lucky the setting is false.

I probably know who shyboy is, lol. I'll move to 1.41 as soon as I can, thanks for clarifying.
