Unknown client, Windows 7

Why doesn't the server recognise Lasthope (1.30) for Vista and Windows 7? In the client version it just shows "unknown client". Is there a way to fix this?

I use NoFix's Vista patch, downloaded here: http://library.theexiled.pwnageservers. ... php?id=419

Are you saying your getting kicked due to this? Cause if you are, I'm not. I use 1.30 for Vista, but on Windows 8.1 with no issues.

No, when you start tribes and look at the main menu, it says which client version you have, in the corner.

Sometimes it says "unknown client", instead.

I believe this happens when the version number has been changed to something that doesn't fit in the allotted space.

It actually says "version 1.30" in the main menu. I didn't get the "unknown client" thing when I used Windows XP and the normal Lasthope patch, several years ago.

I don't get kicked, just accused of happymod by noobs sometimes. I still need to add some stuff before moving to 1.40.

Oh, in that case, you are running the wrong exe.

I just looked at the picture in the first post. I was wrong. Ignore me.

The unknown client error in the tab menu means you've just connected and haven't passed the test, yet.

Yes, soon after connecting it says "this user has not been tested". After some time I just get "unknown client".

Well, I'm going back to my original theory that you are using the wrong exe, then.
