Nerfed Minigun?

bring the old minigun back. don't nerf it, balance it! All it needed was an energy drain

That's definitely something I can look into. I was surprised how overwhelmingly powerful it was when testing it out pre-nerf. There's basically no travel time at all and the accuracy is insane as well as the sheer number of bullets that hit you. It essentially had turned troll into titan.2 and anyone that wasn't a heavy had no chance even at visible distance limit on the maps. Also it made almost every other troll weapon obsolete by comparison.

With an energy drain it might work out a little better, but you can still just troll grenade yourself into the air or jump pad up and we will be back where we started because by the time you run out of energy everything you could want to target would be dead.

And have its accuracy reduced the longer you fire it (i.e. increase the spread). But if you're flying through the air somewhat fast it 'cools' it down and keeps it accurate.

I'd rather keep it simple, and unmount it if you hold the trigger too long.

My main issue was it was the perfect accuracy at really long distances. Tracers also seemed to disappear when really far away. Honestly the chaingun owns, so I say just give them 500 chaingun rounds and call it good.
